Bare knuckle fighting has been around for centuries, obviously, for as long as people have had fists then undoubtably they have figured out that throwing them around and making contact with flesh feels good. Though possibly not for the recipient of the fist.
Women have long felt the need to compete against each other in a wide variety of ways so why do some people feel so offended at the thought of women trading blows?? To be honest i would feel less of a woman if i didn't fight. I have been in a fair few scraps and i have sometimes questioned my sanity, especially when i found myself in the emergency room after a vicious KO. But you have to take a few knocks in life, or so they say!
I spoke to a man at the club where i trained and he looked at me as if i was a total freak when i told him that i wanted to fight, that i was willing to get hurt for the thrill of competition. I felt like punching him in the mouth but i managed to restrain myself, if it had been a woman...well, i may well have punched her out. Why? Because i don't have a problem in pitting myself against another female. That is just the way i am.
I was in a burger bar one night and this drunken woman started on a friend of mine, for what reason i don't know. Anyway, she came up and put her face in my friend's personal space and i just cracked her on the jaw and she went down like a sack of shit. She got up after a few moments, her knees were all over the place, so i just headbutted her and that was it. Lights out. My friend was stunned. Another woman asked me why i fought "like a bloke", i just said that i used whatever i needed to get the job done. Nuff' said.
I am a fighter, i am a woman, i am me!!

Yes, you have my permission to use my illustration, 'Women's Fight To The Finish'. You have a fine site and I will do all I can to help make it 'The Greatest'. However, when you do use one of my works I would appreciate it if you would give me credit (Drew Hammond) as well as mention my Deviant Art site: drewhammond. With all due respect and success, Drew
Is your Yahoo site down? I can see it but all the links, files and photos options are vanished!

Concerning your voting segments, a bit of insight. With a background as a writer and publisher of a large number of illustrated books and booklets on combative women, I find the major segments of interest are in order: Wrestling, boxing, catfighting, mixed match wrestling, mixed match boxing, S&M, and finally F/F & F/M death fights. And then there is: 'Other' (which is quite varied). In my opinion, that is how your voting picks and totals should be offered. Drew
